ACS UK HISTORY
At ACS, it’s our people and culture that the difference. The collaborative strengths of industry specialists Syan and Anix make ACS a powerful player in the UK IT services market with a combined total of over 60 years of infrastructure delivery experience and expertise.
Syan
Prior to its acquisition by Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) in January 2008, Syan had been providing quality solutions to the mid-range server and desktop sector since 1985. Syan delivered IT outsourcing services from remote management, server colocation, hosting and server management to call centre services and application management.
Syan’s former acquisitions include PR Technology, PSM Micro and Generation 9.
Anix
Anix was acquired by ACS more recently in June 2009. Prior to this, Anix delivered IT infrastructure and related solutions from initial consultancy, analysis and design through to fully outsourced hosted or remote managed services, support and training. Anix was formed by Unix and Oracle specialists in 1989.
Anix’s former acquisitions include Positiv, Red Squared and Blue River Systems.
