Open GI is the UK and Ireland’s leading supplier of IT solutions to insurance brokers, delivering tools that meet the business needs of the broker and enable them to transact business in the most efficient manner. Based in Worcester, Open GI employs over 300 people, half of whom are involved in supporting the 1800-strong customer base in product development and customer services.
THE CHALLENGE
A number of Open GI’s solutions are web-based and the 24x7 nature of the sector requires the same commitment to solution availability. Open GI therefore needed to assure the availability of their software tools and services to gain a competitive edge.

THE SOLUTION
To assist Open GI in making technical decisions that would ensure maximum systems availability, ACS provided a Citrix pilot. This enabled the Open GI team to test the applications in a live environment.
